It doesn’t matter what the project is, writing a book, doing a painting, creating a web application or developing new recipes – I am always happy when I am being creative. This week’s project is for Hallowe’en.
Hallowe’en is by far my favourite holiday. My mom and I used to sew all of my costumes together – that is a very special memory for me. Recently, my favourite material to make costumes with has been duct tape. A few years back I made an Elvira costume for Christian (chest out of tape) and an Elvis costume for myself with white bellbottoms made out of duct tape (I called myself Michele-vis). My favourite Hallowe’en so far was when we did a family theme: Spaceballs.
This year, we are making a wing suit costume for my son Blake so he can be a base jumper. If all goes well, we will be making one for the rest of the family too. Fingers crossed that I can post an awesome picture here of all of our wing suits too!
UPDATE: Yup, the suits turned out very well. Although they didn’t actually fly us anywhere, we did turn many heads while trick or treating 🙂
